The Golden Gate Gathering, a bouldering weekend in Clarens, 20 to 22 November
Every ticket gets you into the Gathering and two nights' sleep, Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November. Full weekend tickets only. Tell us how many of you are coming and we will show you what fits.
Guidebook launchThe weekend doubles as a guidebook launch. Order your copy at the Gathering; there is no online pre-order.
Book a whole unit
Chalets, huts and hives. You buy the unit and everyone who sleeps in it is covered.
One unit is one ticket. Your crew does not buy their own.
Book a bed or a pitch
Dorm bunks and camping spots. Each person gets their own ticket.
One person is one ticket. Book one for everyone.
Self-catering units, two bunkhouses with a fireplace each, camping, and a communal kitchen and braai.
Unit photos: Clarens Inn and Backpackers. Climbing photos: Friends and Allies.
How many of you are coming?
Count everyone who is sleeping over, you included.
Pick where you sleep
Mix them if you like: a unit for some of you, bunks or tents for the rest.
Do my friends need their own tickets?
Not if they are in your unit. The unit is the ticket and covers everyone sleeping in it. In a bunk or a tent, yes: one ticket per person.
How does the door know who is with me?
You add a name for every bed when you book. Everyone is on the door list under your booking, so nobody has to wait for you to arrive.
What if my unit has a spare bed?
That is fine. The price is for the unit, not for how many of you use it. If someone joins later, reply to your ticket email and we add their name.
What is included?
Entry to the Gathering and two nights' sleep, Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November, for every person on the booking. Full weekend tickets only: no day tickets and no extras.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are not refundable. If someone cannot make it, you can swap the names on your booking: reply to your ticket email.
Is there a lift club?
Yes. When you book, say whether you have seats to offer, need a lift, or are sorted, and from which area. The organisers match people up.
Who runs the bookings?
Friends and Allies takes the payment and sends the tickets, and everyone signs the Friends and Allies waiver. Sales close Friday 20 November at 08:00.
Who is sleeping where
One name per bed puts everyone on the door list. Spare beds in a unit can stay blank.
Driving down with space in the car, or looking for a seat? Tell us here. Unless you tick the share box, only the organisers see this, and they match people by hand.
Confirming your payment
Everyone named is on the door list, so they just give their name when they arrive. Tickets are not refundable, but you can swap names: reply to the ticket email.
