Here we are tjoms, it’s time for Mayhem Mountain Festival V5, and this year promises to be the most epic gathering of highliners, climbers, and adventure seekers yet. Our dedicated crew has been hustling for a week already but this weekend our community will once again transform Mayhem into a playground of walking the skies, sending the proj and flowing with the maats.
What's New for MMF 2025?
We’ve been busy scheming and dreaming to make this year’s festival even more memorable. For our 5th anniversary, we’re rigging some new and exciting lines. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, there’s something for everyone with our expanded range of lines from beginner-friendly 20-meter setups to mid-range challenges and the ultimate void-crossers. Our team of dedicated line jockeys will be on hand to supervise and guide, no matter the level, to keep everyone cruising happily, and safely in the clouds.
Mienke will be debuting her Budokon yoga skills this year – an experience well worth taking part in. Budokon is a challenging form of yoga that incorporates martial arts forms. If you haven’t experienced this kind of flow before, join the session on Friday morning. Winding down from the lion-roars will be a guided mediation. Get your zen on and flow into the day.
Beyond the Lines: Return of the Fan Favourites
While highlining remains our heart and soul, there’s always more mischief to get up to at MMF. Daily yoga at the Grow & Flow space are guaranteed to get you limber and ready for some skitz sends – be it on the lines or the tasty Boven rock. Our classic highlining clinics will be held at the campsite as always. You’ll be taken through the dos and dont’s of highlining. While it’s proper epic to be wrestling with webbing above the breathtaking valleys of Boven, it’s important that you know how to be epic and safe.
If you’re lus to feel the red rock of the crags flowing under your feet, our guided trail runs with Karine will show you Boven as can only be experienced on foot. Bringing your good tekkies and hydration, you’ll need it!
Back at the campsite we’ve always got some lekker chill spots for you and the homies to cruise at. To keep you entertained at the home base we have another splicing and tie dye workshop. Remember to bring any old clothes you want to give a second life to! On Saturday we can expect some local vendors to swing by Mayhem and offer us some delicious goodies! Remember to bring some cash and empty stomachs! Mish will be on hand to keep us flowing through the night with some poi and juggling, if you’re keen to learn this workshop is the one for you.
Saturday evening will see us all navigating our way to the Waddling Wattles for the classic Bush Doef. Our lineup of DJ’s will keep the psych high while we dance the night away.
Community is Everything:
What makes Mayhem truly special isn’t just the heart-stopping lines or breathtaking views – it’s the people. Our festival remains true to its roots as a community-built, community-run celebration of what we love. Your ticket doesn’t just buy you access; it makes you part of the Mayhem family for the weekend. At Mayhem, what’s mine is yours, what’s yours is mine, and together we create something greater than any of us could alone.
Campsite Beta:
The Mayhem Mountain Adventure Campsite has had some TLC from our dedicated Woofers, making your camping experience more comfortable without losing that wild Mayhem spirit. Solar power is available for essentials, but remember to bring your lekker big cooler box for drinks – we’ll have ice available throughout the weekend. The compost toilets and outdoor showers have become unexpected favorites, proving that sometimes the simplest things bring the most joy.
Join the Mayhem Family:
Whether you’re a festival veteran or considering your first trip to Boven, MMF 2025 welcomes you with open arms. Every year, first-timers arrive as strangers and leave as family. Just ask anyone who’s been – there’s something magical about finding your courage on a highline, sharing meals around the campfire, and dancing under the stars with people who understand your particular brand of crazy.
The spirit of Mayhem isn’t something you can explain – it’s something you have to experience. So grab your ticket, pack your tent, and prepare for a weekend that might just change your life.
Embrace the Mayhem. See you in Boven!
